Huge games to start the week and end the week with Ravens and Eagles coming out on top

Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens

A huge game to start the week 11 of the NFL season. Both teams are coming off losses in games they very well could’ve won and probably should’ve. The Bengals caught some real fire and were building momentum but that loss was bigger than people might think of. Now, they sit at 5-4 and have to play on the road against the Ravens and falling to 5-5 is not ideal in a stacked division and even puts them in danger of starting to miss the playoffs

The Ravens had that game won against the Browns and sort of collapsed and dropped their first game in over a month. The Ravens have still been the better team than the Bengals and certainly more consistent. While this game could swing the other way, I’m leaning towards the Ravens bouncing back this week in a close one.

Prediction: Ravens 24, Bengals 21

Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns

The Steelers managed to continue to squeak out some wins despite being -26 in point differential for the season. Regardless they’re 6-3 and have beaten the Browns at home earlier in the season. Coming into this week, however, on the road, the advantage should fall on the other side of the field.

The Browns looked beat against the Ravens and responded amazingly in the second half, specifically the 4th quarter, and took the win. This top-tier defense should lead a more consistent game and eventually win against a poor offensive team in the Steelers.

Prediction: Browns 23, Steelers 16

Oakland Raiders at Miami Dolphins

The Raiders through adversity and coaching changes have worked their way back to a .500 record as they sit at 5-5 right now. While admirable, it’s worth noting they’ve played potentially the worst two offenses in the NFL right now in both of the New York teams. It gets much different as they much up against the high-powered Dolphins.

This feels like a game the Dolphins come out on a Sunday afternoon and blow out the Raiders and make it feel like a blur. These are the games the Dolphins have taken advantage of and have yet to lose to a team with a losing record or even a .500 team (excluding the Bills who were above .500 at the time). Long story short, same old Dolphins

Prediction: Dolphins 34, Raiders 17

Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions

The Bears got another win against the team they hold their first-round pick for, a very successful week. In more potential good news, signs are pointing to Justin Fields returning this Sunday in a game against a division opponent. While that’s all good, in reality, this is a game where they’re overmatched and will have a tough time stopping the Lions’ offense.

The Lions took part in maybe the game of the season so far when they matched up with the Los Angeles Chargers. It was a phenomenal game out of their offense and while their defense didn’t look great, it was against a talented and determined Chargers squad. This game should be another win for the Lions and realistically it should be much easier, the only issue could be Fields’ mobility but they should still dominate the Bears' pass defense.

Prediction: Lions 34, Bears 23

Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars

Both of these teams are coming off tough losses, the difference is who they were playing. The Jaguars were playing the 49ers who are just as good as anyone when they’re on and they added Chase Young which just makes that defensive line even scarier. Meanwhile, the Titans played the Buccaneers who hadn’t won in a month. Will Levis has had some growing pains the last two weeks but that’s perfectly normal and was going to happen sooner or later for the Titans franchise. It could be tough again as the Jaguars have a good pass defense.

Rough outing for the Jaguars overall, they could not get anything going on either side of the ball. Definitely the low point for their season now that the loss to the Texans has aged much better. Still, it was a sloppy affair that they’ll need to bounce back from, and at home against a below-average team, they’ll do that.

Prediction: Jaguars 27, Titans 17

Los Angeles Chargers at Green Bay Packers

A close call for the Chargers. So many of those this season and it seems to be a common thing every season, which usually means there is a coaching issue that needs to be fixed. Regardless the season isn’t lost, a Wild Card appearance is still possible for this team and it could start here against a team they should have more success containing.

Another poor outing from Jordan Love, just barely completing over 50% of his passes and two interceptions against the Steelers. If their offense continues to perform this way, there is little chance they’ll contain the Chargers offense in what could be a long day for the Packers.

Prediction: Chargers 30, Packers 20

Arizona Cardinals at Houston Texans

Kyler Murray returned last week and while it wasn’t a perfect game by any means, the team did enough to pull out a hard-fought win against the Falcons. Their first win since the Cowboys game weeks ago. While a feel-good moment, this week should be a lot harder going up against the rookie sensation.

Speaking of that rookie, CJ Stroud continues to impress and lead his team to some tough wins, this time coming off one against the Bengals who were on fire. The only thing you could even maybe want more out of him is getting his completion % up and even that is fine for a rookie. The Texans have quickly become a team no one wants to play and they’ll remind everyone why on Sunday.

Prediction: Texans 31, Cardinals 23

Dallas Cowboys at Carolina Panthers

This game screams blowout, these are the type of games the Cowboys usually come in, dominate quickly, and go home like there was no issue at all. They just tore up the Giants and poured it on and against the Panthers, it should be more of the same thing.

The Panthers couldn’t get anything going offensively against the Bears with their only touchdown being the punt return touchdown. Outside of that against a pretty poor defense even if the Bears rush defense is pretty good. Now they’re matched up against a good Cowboys defense that pours on sacks and forces turnovers, could be a long game.

Prediction: Cowboys 38, Panthers 16

New York Giants at Washington Commanders

The Giants may not win another game this season, it is definitely a possibility that it could be that case. Now they did manage to beat the Commanders a few weeks ago in an overly slow 14-7 win. So it is possible that they could pull out the win but realistically it will swing the other way.

Sam Howell has been solid even if his performance hasn’t been spectacular. He’s led the Commanders' offense to be relatively average and they’ve played some tough games and been way more consistent, therefore they get the nod for the win this week.

Prediction: Commanders 20, Giants 10

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at San Francisco 49ers

The Buccaneers finally got another win after being on the losing skid for quite some time. It was a hard-fought win over the Titans that showed some improvement offensively with some more consistent chunk plays. While it was some nice improvement, this week gets much harder as they match up against one of the top teams.

The 49ers just had a statement win over the Jaguars who were on a roll. After a couple of messy weeks where the 49ers were on that surprising losing streak, they looked like their normal selves in the dominant win. This week they’re at home against the Buccaneers who don’t offer anything offensively to scare the 49ers, so it should be a simple win for them.

Prediction: 49ers 31, Buccaneers 17

New York Jets at Buffalo Bills

This is an interesting matchup as these are two teams that both realistically were expected to win and probably should’ve but didn’t and now their time to make a push into the playoffs is quickly running out of time. For the Jets, it was going to be a long shot to make it there and now losing to the Raiders, makes everything that much harder.

For the Bills, it couldn’t be worse at this time in the season. Not many, including me, could’ve expected the Bills to be sitting at just 5-5. Their slump and ability to turn over the ball every other drive has got to come to an end. They can’t afford more than maybe a pair of losses so they have to be extremely consistent the rest of the way through. Not sure if they can be though is the issue, they need to make big changes or else this would be such a disappointing season for the Bills.

Prediction: Bills 24, Jets 17

Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Rams

The Seahawks have not looked the same as of late, not bad as they’re 3-2 in their last five. However, they struggled against the Commanders but still won, got dominated by the Ravens, and were up and down in the remaining games. Still, they’re 6-3 and in a good position and this is a huge game for them being matched up against the Rams.

The Rams in week 1 dominated Seattle and since then, Seattle has had a much better season especially since Stafford has been hurt. While Seattle is certainly the better team, if Stafford is healthy it could be enough for them to sweep their division rival at home.

Prediction: Rams 24, Seattle 23 (If Stafford is healthy) Seattle 24, Rams 16 (If Stafford is out)

Minnesota Vikings at Denver Broncos

This is a momentum game, both teams have been rolling as of late. The Vikings have won five games in a row and are even in the playoff picture as a Wild Card team. Josh Dobbs' performance difference from the Cardinals to now the Vikings is evident and this team's tough early schedule really made it seem that this team was worse than they were.

The Broncos have won three games in a row, and now what was a historically bad defense has been pretty good against some good offenses in the Chiefs and Bills. While on a roll, they still have a lot of work to do and the Vikings have been rolling for longer so we’ll go with them to keep going.

Prediction: Vikings 27, Broncos 23

Philadelphia Eagles at Kansas City Chiefs

The biggest game of the week and maybe even the season is the last game of the week. The Eagles currently have the best record in the NFL at 8-1, Jalen Hurts might be the favorite in the MVP race and obviously, this is a revenge game for last year's Super Bowl. A lot of emotion going into this game and while it’s on the road the Eagles are going to be more than prepared.

For the Chiefs, the defending champions are at home at Arrowhead Stadium and the crowd is going to be rocking and chanting for this primetime matchup. The Chiefs defense has been fantastic and they’re going to have to be elite again if they can contain the Eagles. While this game could swing either way, I’m leaning towards revenge taking a toll and a brotherly shove or two leading the Eagles to victory.

Prediction: Eagles 27, Chiefs 24
